Preparing for Your Appointment

After booking your appointment with Gabba Dermatology you will receive an email or text message confirming your appointment date and time. Before your appointment contact reception to confirm you have a current referral that covers your next appointment.  Also, notify reception if you have any relevant blood tests, biopsy or test results that need to be available before your next appointment.

If you do not have a current referral, you will be seen by the doctor, but you will not receive the maximum Medicare rebate possible.

Please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment and bring the following items to your appointment:

  • your current Medicare card or Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) card, and

  • your referral letter, and copies of any relevant blood tests, biopsy or test results.

In preparation for your appointment please:

  • do not wear any makeup,

  • apply your regular facial and body moisturiser,

  • do not wear or apply any fragrances, perfumes or aftershave lotion,

  • you can wear your regular deodorant, and

  • wear loose fitting clothing that you can easily remove.

Gabba Dermatology endeavours to treat each patient’s condition on the day which sometimes leads to unexpected waiting times for other patients. Gabba Dermatology reception will try to keep you informed if your doctor is running late but please contact the clinic prior to leaving home if you are concerned. If you have any questions about your appointment, please contact Gabba Dermatology Reception.

If you are unwell with a cough, cold, temperature or gastral intestinal issue please do not come in. Phone Gabba Dermatology reception (07 3039 1300) as soon as possible and every effort will be made to schedule an appointment for you the following week.
